A Preliminary Study on Allelopathy and Potential Allelochemicals of Root Exudates from Solanum rostratum Dunal

Aims: In order to understand the role of allelopathy in invasion success, effects root exudates from Solanum rostratum Dunal on germination and primary growth wheat cabbage seeds were studied by vitro bioassay. These results indicated would be helpful for understanding invasion. 
 Study Design: The roots washed clean three times with distilled water before they gathered a big bucket. container was filled water, enough submerge roots, air aerated constantly an pump. extract collected per 24 hs four totally. concentrated rotary evaporator at 40°C deposited refrigerator 4°C. All pooled around 1500 mL, fresh weight used collection 1208 g, exudate concentration then marked as 0.8g f w/mL.
 Place Duration Study: grown greenhouse April 15th, 2019, its invaded fields Chaoyang city (Liaoning province, China).
 Methodology: Petri dish bioassay applied test Chinese cabbage. For allelochemicals exudated through root, compounds organic fraction analysed GC-MS.
 Results: invasion.
 Conclusion: Root contained some allelochemicals, which could inhibit radicle cabbage, though shoot are different, stimulation while inhibition wheat. difference selectivity effect Dunal.
